Cobalt Wanted Ads + I Sold Mine (Monthly Club Reminder)

Two club habits that keep MyCobalt useful: a quiet Wanted brick when you are hunting a Cobalt, and an honest I sold mine note when your ad finds a buyer — without wiping the archive.

This is the monthly reminder post. Bookmark it, or just email editor@mycobalt.net whenever either applies. Rates and buttons stay on mycobalt.net/advertise.

Wanted — $25

Looking for a year/model (or a range) instead of selling one? A Wanted ad is $25 on the advertise page. Tell me:

  • Year range and model(s) you will consider
  • Drive preference if it matters (sterndrive / Surf / Coastal / outboard)
  • Budget band and where you will travel to look
  • Must-haves vs nice-to-haves (trailer, hours cap, lake-only history)
  • How sellers should reach you

I post it in the club feed so owners who are thinking of selling see a real buyer first. Soft, specific Wanteds work better than “any Cobalt, cheap.”

I sold mine — keep the post, strip the contact

When your for-sale ad sells (or you pull it), email me from the listing thread. Club policy:

  • Do not delete the sold post — sold history helps the next buyer and keeps SEO and the archive useful
  • Strip phone and email from the live post so you are not getting cold calls months later
  • Keep year, model, HIN/serial when we have it — that quiet serial index is still a goal
  • Optional: one line “Sold — thanks club” if you want the title updated

Full listing steps (pay, specs, photos) are in How to List Your Cobalt on MyCobalt ($25 / $50).

Why a monthly nudge

Owners forget to say sold. Buyers forget Wanted exists. A short monthly post keeps both paths visible without spamming the board. If you already paid and are waiting on copy, ping editor@ — I will push your ad live.

Quick paths

  • Sell: $25 basic / $50 premium → /advertise → email specs + photos
  • Wanted: $25 → same page → email what you are hunting
  • Sold: reply in your listing email → I strip contact, keep the post
