MyCobalt.net is the Cobalt Boat Owners Club. It is a hobby site for people who own Cobalt boats — bowriders, runabouts, cuddies, and cruisers — not a housing association and not a software company.

If you searched “MyCobalt” and landed on Cobalt Housing in the UK or on MyCobalt Software, you found the wrong Cobalt. This one is boats.

The homepage is the classifieds board. This About page is the club: who we are, who it is for, how to post, and how to reach the editor.

Who the club is for

Anyone who owns a Cobalt, is shopping for one, or just wants to see what other owners are running. You do not need a membership login to read the site. Local lake groups already use it to post upcoming trips. Individual owners send pictures from a weekend on the water. Buyers and sellers use the for-sale listings.

Kendall Kunz is the current editor. The site is a hobby, not a dealer group and not the factory.

Trips, photos, and local groups

That is the original use of these pages. Lake groups put a date and a plan where other Cobalt owners will actually see it. Owners send photos of a new-to-them hull, a favorite cove, or a long run. If your water has a Cobalt crowd, send the trip and a few pictures. If you just want the boat on the site, send a photo, say where you are, and say what you run.

Posts are not self-serve. They go through email so a person can format them and keep spam off the club pages.

Cobalt boat classifieds

Most people who land here hit the homepage, which is owner ads. The listings that work on this site are specific: year, model, and place — a 2002 262 in Iowa, a 2020 R5 in New York — not a generic “boats for sale” dump. That long-tail is what MyCobalt is good at.

Sold ads should not sit in the featured row. If your boat sold, email the editor and say so. If you want to list, the rates are below. Send a real description, the exact year and model, hull serial number, location, price, and photos.

This is owner-to-owner. It is not Boat Trader or YachtWorld, and it does not need to be.

Where discussion lives

MyCobalt.net does not currently have a living discussion forum. /forum/ is a notice that the old board was wiped for spam. /old-forum/ is an archive from 2008–2009. There is no active club bulletin board on this site, and we will not pretend there is.

Owners who want threaded conversation — a drive, a canvas shop, a hull question — have used cobaltchat.com for years. That board is a separate site. It is not run by MyCobalt. Use this site for classifieds, trip write-ups, and photos. Use a message board if you want a thread.

How to post

Email editor@mycobalt.net.

For a trip or photo post, include your name, lake or town, year and model, what you want on the page, and the pictures (or a link).

For a for-sale listing, include:

  • Year and exact model
  • Hull serial number
  • Location
  • Asking price
  • Hours and engine notes if you have them
  • Up to nine photos
  • A description in your own words

Kendall posts what you send. Expect a human reply, not an instant upload.

Advertising pays hosting. This is not a business.

  • Basic listing: $25 for 90 days, up to 9 photos
  • Premium listing: $50, up to 9 photos
  • Sponsorship square: $100/month (includes a Premium listing; sidebar and footer)
  • Banner ad: $200/month (includes a Premium listing; 768×90)
