The New Cobalt CS23 Surf!

Cobalt CS23 Surf

Surf in the CS series is one boat: the CS23 Surf. There is no CS22 Surf. There is no CS23 Coastal. Current book, never a proper MyCobalt page. Not the August 2026 arrival. Same 23′ 5″ length, 8′ 6″ beam, 60-gallon tank, 12 persons, no head as the sterndrive CS23, plus Surf Gate, Volvo Penta Forward Drive, and 1,244 lbs of ballast.

That ballast number sits next to the R4 Surf’s 1,226 and well under the R8 Surf’s 2,350. I am not going to pretend I have surfed behind either. I have not. If this is the small tower Cobalt you actually use, I want the photos more than I want another class-page render.

Factory specs

  • LOA: 23′ 5″
  • Beam: 8′ 6″
  • Fuel: 60 gal
  • Capacity: 12 persons
  • Head: no
  • Ballast: 1,244 lbs

Twelve people, no head, 60 gallons. Same trailer beam as the R4 / R26 / R8 pack. No dry weight, draft, or engine list on the card I copied, so those stay off. The sterndrive sibling is the CS23. The smaller CS sterndrive is the CS22, and Cobalt did not print a surf version of that one. If you wanted a tower in the low 22s, the factory stopped at this 23′ 5″ boat.

Owner pictures to editor@mycobalt.net. I live in the Seattle area. Selling the boat this replaced? $25 / $50 here. This is not a CS23 Surf listing.
