Cobalt’s R35 Coupe

Cobalt R35 Coupe

Same length as the open R35, different lid. The R35 Coupe is the sterndrive coupe in the current book: 35′ 4″ with the swim platform, 10′ 10″ beam, 165 gallons, Yacht Certified, head on the card. It is not a 2026 launch. The new boats this August were the R26 and R26 Surf. We just never posted the Coupe.

Siblings, because the names will trip people. R35 is the open sterndrive. R35 Coupe is this one. R35 Surf is the wake boat. R35 Coastal is the open outboard. R35 Coastal Coupe is the outboard coupe. Same 35′ 4″ family. This page is the sterndrive Coupe only.

Factory specs

  • LOA (w/ swim platform): 35′ 4″
  • LOA w/ extended swim platform: 36′ 8″
  • Beam: 10′ 10″
  • Fuel: 165 gal
  • Capacity: Yacht Certified
  • Head: yes

Those numbers match the open R35. The factory printed VacuFlush as standard on the open boat; the Coupe card I copied just says head, yes, so that is all I am writing. No dry weight, no draft, no engine list on that card, so none here. If you wanted the outboard coupe with the Coastal Edition saltwater package, that is the R35 Coastal Coupe, 250 gallons, not this 165-gallon sterndrive.

I like a covered helm on a long afternoon more than I like brochure words about elevated days. If you bought the Coupe, send me how you actually use the shade. Factory art is not a substitute.

Owner photos to editor@mycobalt.net. Seattle-area rides still welcome. Listing the boat it replaced? $25 / $50 here. This is not a Coupe for sale.
