The New Cobalt R35 Surf!

Cobalt R35 Surf

The R35 Surf is a 2025 boat we never posted. Dealer intro late 2024, VIP Ride & Drive / public early 2025. It is still current. It is not the homepage “just arrived” pair; that is the R26 and R26 Surf this August. This one is 35′ 4″, 10′ 10″ beam, 165 gallons, Yacht Certified, VacuFlush head. Same length and tank as the sterndrive R35. Different job.

Surf Class on cobaltboats.com is Surf Gate, Volvo Penta Forward Drive, and surf controls. The class page is explicit that hard ballast does not apply to the R33 Surf and the R35 Surf. So I am not printing a ballast number. The smaller surf boats have tanks on the cards. This one does not.

Factory specs

  • LOA: 35′ 4″
  • Beam: 10′ 10″
  • Fuel: 165 gal
  • Capacity: Yacht Certified
  • Head: yes (VacuFlush)
  • Ballast: n/a (class page: ballast tanks do not apply)

Siblings: R35 is the open sterndrive. R35 Coupe is the covered sterndrive. R35 Coastal and R35 Coastal Coupe are the outboards. This page is the surf boat. I do not have dry weight, draft, or a per-model engine list on the card I copied, so those are omitted. If you have surfed behind an R35 Surf, tell me how the pocket actually feels with no ballast tanks and a Forward Drive. I have not been on one.

Walkthrough video is on Cobalt’s blog from March 2025. I would rather walk around one in a slip. If you took delivery last year and we never asked, that is on me.

Owner photos to editor@mycobalt.net. I live in the Seattle area. If you will take the editor for a set, I will write the feature with your pictures. Selling the boat this replaced? $25 / $50 on MyCobalt. This is not a listing.
