1972 Cobalt 18BR 50th anniversary For Sale in Austin,TX
This is a very rare 1972 Cobalt w/dual axle trailer and 302 Mercruiser in/out. Boat is in exceptional condition for its age and has 600+ hours on it. Even the upholstery is original with no rips/tears. The local boat restorer at our marina didn’t believe me when I told him it was all original and never be re-done. Boat spent most of it’s life under a cover garaged and over the past 8 years has been housed at local marina, always covered.
We use the boat for skiing/wakeboarding all summer and intend to do so this summer as well if not sold. My family purchased in the late 70s and is the 2nd owner. Boat has always been well taken care of. Great all around solid boat for multi-purpose family use that seats 8-10 and compared to modern boat prices a great way to get into boating or rare find for a collector. Pics attached are not from this season, but representative. I have updated the Cobalt and USA badging since most photos were taken. Boat is at Lake Travis in Austin TX and can be taken out for a spin for any serious inquiries and can get fresh pics/video for anyone out of the area interested.
